In 2021, we saw real estate struggling with outdated tools and scattered data. The need for a simpler, smarter way to manage ESG and performance was clear. That’s why we created Scaler, to simplify complexity and help teams make smarter decisions.
Built by People Who Have Done the Work.
Scaler was founded in 2021 by Zlatan Menkovic and Luc van de Boom. One builds products, the other has spent 15 years inside real estate data. Together they started Scaler to replace spreadsheets and scattered systems with one operating data platform for real estate.
Zlatan Menkovic
Co-Founder and CEO
Zlatan leads product and engineering at Scaler. He is a product designer turned repeat founder, with earlier roles shaping products at Uber and Uber Freight and as co-founder of PeerReach, for which he was named Dutch Co-Founder of the Year in 2013. His view is simple: if you want global impact, start with the buildings we already live and work in.

Luc van de Boom
Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer
Luc has spent 15 years in real estate data and sustainability. He was an early member of the GRESB team, sits on the CRREM EMEA Regional Advisory Committee and contributes to INREV and GRESB working groups. At Scaler he leads innovation and client solutions, and his thesis drives the product: AI commoditizes data collection, so the real advantage sits in execution and capital allocation.
